The fast response load switch FA7634 goes on the market
Hsinchu, March 38, 2022 -- Fortune Advanced Technology today launched its new fast response load switch IC
The fast response load switch product series of Fortune Advanced Technology includes six products FA7604/FA7606/FA7609/FA7624/FA7633/FA7634. For more information, please refer to Home > Products > Load Switches > Fast Response Load Switch.
The most significant feature of this IC is that its turn-on rising time is rather short.
Microsoft introduced Modern Standby in 2012 to improve battery life and to allow the transition between on/off states faster as a smartphone does. Since the Haswell ULT platform, Intel introduces C9/C10 State for CPU standby states to fully meet the power-saving requirement of Modern Standby. While entering C9/C10 state, the voltages VCCSTG, VCCIO, and VCCPLL_OC are turned off by load switches. To resume to the active state, these voltages are requested to be ready within 65μs, 240μs, and 240μs, respectively. Our fast response load switches are developed to meet this timing requirement.
The FA7634 is a small, ultra-low Ron, single-channel fast response load switch supporting a maximum 6A continuous current. It can be used in an input voltage range of 0.7V to VBIAS-2V, in which Bias Voltage (VBIAS) Range is 3.0V to 5.5V. In FA7634, a 220Ω on-chip load resistor is added for quick output discharge when the switch is turned off.

The FA7634 is now available through authorized distributors in the DFN3x3-8L package. Full and custom quantity reels are available.
