The FA7623C is a low RDS(ON), power distribution switch with 6V voltage rating, and is able to drive 2.5A continuous current. The over current function protects the power source from over current or short-circuit conditions. The power switch is controlled by an on/off input, which is capable of interfacing directly with low-voltage control signals. In FA7623C, an external resistor is used to set output discharge current when the switch is disabled. The EN/FLAGb pin is an open drain output that asserts low when over current, or over temperature event occurs. The FA7623C is designed to eliminate false fault reporting by using an internal deglitch circuit.
