The FA7643 is a product with combined multiple power switches for USB PD application. The device includes a high voltage power switch which supports both 5V source power path and 28V sink power path. The high voltage power switch has 36V DC tolerance, and is able to sink up to 5A at maximum of 28V and source up to 3A at maximum of 5V. The power switches are controlled by on/off input, which is capable of interfacing directly with low-voltage control signals. An on-chip load resistor is added for output fast discharge when switch is disable. The FA7643 also supports Fast Role Swap as defined in the USB Power Delivery specification. Each power path supports OCP, SCP, OVP, RCP, and OTP features. The FLAGb signal remains asserted to indicate fault events until the fault condition is removed and the device resumes normal operation.
